ThreatWarrior’s CEO Named Fellow of America’s Cybersecurity Think Tank

May 21, 2019

Pete Slade, ThreatWarrior’s founder and CEO, has been named a Fellow of the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT), America’s leading cybersecurity think tank. He joins an elite fellowship of cyber defense experts tasked with cultivating a cybersecurity renaissance to protect the nation’s critical infrastructures.

ICIT focuses on enhancing national cybersecurity by providing objective nonpartisan research, education and advice to legislative bodies, commercial, and public-sector cybersecurity stakeholders. As an ICIT Fellow, Slade will share his expertise with the cybersecurity and national security community through independent research, publications, thought leadership and educational engagements.

“It’s an honor to be welcomed as a Fellow to the Institute, and I’m excited for this opportunity to collaborate with leaders who are as passionate about improving our nation’s cyber resilience as I am,” said Slade. “Empowering the next generation of cybersecurity leaders and creating ways to educate the public, private and government sectors on how to best protect themselves is critical in the digital era.”

Every day, millions of cyberattacks inundate organizations around the world. A report from Cybersecurity Ventures estimates that cybercrime will cost the global economy $6 trillion by 2021. Slade and the ThreatWarrior team specialize in leveraging next-generation technologies to protect organizations from this growing cybercrime.

“ICIT is thrilled to welcome Pete and ThreatWarrior into its Fellows Program as leaders in the use of artificial intelligence in combating hyper-evolving threats to our nation’s critical infrastructures,” said ICIT’s Executive Director, Parham Eftekhari. “Support of ICIT underscores their commitment to national security as a champion of objective research and education, and the value they place on corporate responsibility.”
