ThreatWarrior Announces Bruce Coughlin as New CEO

November 8, 2020

ThreatWarrior, the cloud-native threat intelligence platform that delivers complete visibility and cyber protection across the enterprise, today announced that it has hired cloud expert Bruce Coughlin to lead the team as Chief Executive Officer.

Coughlin joined the team in June, and was most recently CEO of Cloud Technology Partners (CTP). He led the company through a successful exit and integration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2017, who acquired CTP for its extensive cloud adoption services.

“Cloud is now at the core of every organization’s corporate strategy, often as the cornerstone of their business-critical infrastructure,” said Coughlin. “Customers expect that their security solutions will provide complete visibility into these complex environments and safeguard their most valuable assets. It’s important that we are able to protect our users no matter where they are and ThreatWarrior is proud to offer network threat intelligence that can help them across private, public and hybrid-cloud.”

Additionally, ThreatWarrior announced that it has closed its most recent funding round. The funding will enable ThreatWarrior to expand its team and company leadership, increase scope and enhance features for the growing ThreatWarrior community, and emerge as the leader in network threat intelligence.

ThreatWarrior’s platform empowers organizations to see everything connected to their network, learn the behavior of physical and virtual assets, and act efficiently to stop cyber threats that other solutions miss. ThreatWarrior uses deep learning to quickly identify threats with more speed, efficacy, and accuracy, and streamlines forensics, analysis and response to maximize protection.

“The threat landscape is expanding and evolving in uniquely dynamic and daunting ways, and traditional approaches to cybersecurity are insufficient to detect these threats across modern environments, especially within public and private clouds,” said Pete Slade, ThreatWarrior’s CTO and Chief Scientist. “We heard the demand for robust, cybersecurity for cloud and on-prem environments that provides behavioral and contextual intelligence across an organization’s entire digital estate and we have delivered.”

In addition to expanding its platform and leadership, ThreatWarrior will utilize the funding to grow existing partnerships with cloud providers, technology partners and managed service providers.

“This funding will enable us to expand our leadership team with additional cloud and security experts while accelerating innovation within the ThreatWarrior platform,” said Coughlin. “The ThreatWarrior team is excited to continue to drive successful cybersecurity outcomes for our customers.”
